Provides guidance to patients, families, staff, new employees/interns and the community by providing education, information and training which responds to individualized needs in accordance with the current policies and procedures
- Education and formal training: Graduate of an accredited high school; registered nurse licensure in the state of Working state with a BA/BSN degree preferred; current certification as International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.
- Work experience: At least one year of experience in mother/baby care or breast feeding education with successful completion of lactation internship preferred.
- Knowledge, skills and competencies required: Demonstrate knowledge of complete generic and department-related procedures and protocols and performance of lactation skills/competencies.
